Decided to take about $40 worth of dimes and pennies to the coin star machine earlier. I didn't feel like rolling them or driving 20 miles my bank that has a coin counter so I just stopped at my workplace to change them in. Ahead of me was a man with 4 jugs of coins. We started chatting and he said he would let me go after he finished his first jug since I didn't have much. Towards the end of his jug he kept having a dime end up the reject bin. I told him it might be a silver one because sometimes they reject them and sure enough it was a 64. I started putting my coins in and we continued talking and I asked him if he wanted to sell the dime to me and he took it out of his pocket and said merry Christmas you can have it. I thanked him and found out he was my 10th grade biology teachers husband while we chatted. I finished with my deposit and thanked him again. I'm glad I went when I did because nothing beats free silver. I just wish I could have gone through all 4 of his jugs cause they were all nickels dimes and quarters.

Good thing he wasn't watching you. If you got a silver quarter reject, he might have wanted to buy it from you, and you would have had to give it to him. Just kidding.

The only coins that go into my change jar is dimes and zinc pennies. I save all my copper pennies and nickels in otger jars and quarters I use all the time for drinks at work or when I go and shoot pool. I did see one quarter while dumping today but pulled it out. I will never ever ever let a silver coin get into my main coin jar I even search my girlfriends pyrse for silver and copper lol.
