Not common, no, but you do see them from time to time. And strong rotations like these can be worth a nice piece of change, $150 and up, I'd say. Nice finds!
the coins look like they have been damaged by oils from human hands. Acetone will do nothing for them. Acetone will remove some debris and is great for removing substance from the coins surface. Unfortunately...the damage has already been done to the surface of these coins. If you want to give them a acetone bath to make sure there is nothing on them that may continue to damage the coins...that is up to you.
Still nice coins. I have yet to find a nice example such as yours. Congratz.
