i contacted the seller..." Hello ... with all due respect, the rim on this dime isn't a "mint error" ... this is a common occurrence when a small coin (usually a cent or a dime) gets trapped in a clothes dryer & is tumbled, stuck in portion of the dryer drum ... this occurs frequently at laundromats ... ...error collectors call them " Dryer Coins", & they have no numismatic value, as the damage occurs after minting, not during ... ...you can do an internet search ... " Dryer Coins" ... & get an explanation, along with pictured examples ... ...hope this info is of help ... Respectfully...John
