One of the worst British coins I've ever seen on ebay!
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/357414151163
The bubbling is a consequence of moisture getting between the steel core and the copper plating - the coin has probably spent some time buried or in water. It should be spent before it disintegrates completely!

"Extremely Rare Error 1998 1p Coin"
This type of error - on the seller's part - is unfortunately far too common on ebay.

I was just noticing that, seamonkey. Maybe the seller will fly over from the UK and deliver it personally.

The 1839 "Una and the Lion" £5 coin is one of the rarest and most sought-after British gold coins, but here's your opportunity to get one at a bargain price!

I've reported this one as "fake bullion" to ebay, but don't hold out much hope of it being pulled!
