Hello Here I have A 1947 S Wheat cent with Lamination Errors On The Obverse and Reverse. I See S/S OMM. Also The Small Strip Of Different Colors On The Reverse. Any Insights as to what Type of error will be greatly appreciated.

Having posted this thread in the middle of the night, I certainly hope you're willing to have a little patience for wise replies.

That's definitely lamination on the obverse but I'm unsure about the reverse in these images. These aren't my area of expertise - don't know if an alloy problem might be involved but that "strip of color" seems more like something which might have been stuck to the coin which inhibited the same toning process which darkened the rest of it.

People will be waking up soon.

The rim on the LIBERTY side to me is of concern. It may have caused the Lamination, but it could have happend via PMD.
In any event, most dont fetch a premium unless it is significant.

Its a circulated coin, its very tough for me to tell whether its lamination caused by a planchet error, or if the rim damage which looks post mint damage had anything to do with the lamination years ago, and over time caused it to appear like an almost natural lamination error.

I consider lamination errors only significant when layers of copper are ready to, or have peeled off, like these. Most others I have found, I simply pass on, unless significant;

A minor lamination error on the obverse - maybe the reverse left side. The reverse has corrosion.
The MM is too small to tell if there is a repunched mintmark (RPM). There are no known OMMs (over mintmark) for 1947S.
