Doesn't look too bad. Assuming the reverse has the same kind of details and color, I'd say 60% of list.

That is a tough call. I'm going to value it as an intellectual exercise, because these are readily available in "good" slabs and I'd sooner have a righteous VG than a Details Fine, but with that in mind I'll call it an $800 coin.

If it's on your radar, I urge you to settle for a righteous slab in a lesser grade. Buffs change very little in terms of absolute eye appeal between G6 and F15, and the "Details" aspect of the grade will eat at your psyche over time.

I agree with dave on the "details" part. With some series' it's ok to buy a details coin. Just last week I bought an AU-55 Details 1875-S 20 Cent. The 20 Cent series has a weak strike is most cases and most coins are in less than pristine condition for their grade compared to any other Seated coinage. Infact if you graded a 20 cent with the same standard as a Seated quarter or half you'd get the a designation 10-20 point lower than what a professional service would grade it. So that's why I bought a coin with great details and some scratches from an old cleaning as a pose to a VF-30 coin for the same price. Whereas, in your case the details between VG and F are very similar meaning a problem-free VG a great alternative; I also think that the coin's value is slightly higher than where Dave puts it (Sorry :D) and so I was thinking $900-$1000 which is what I would pay (I usually pay higher for problem rarities percentage wise than other coins but I still think my estimation is fair). If you, however already own the coin, then I must say that the patina is great and the coin is graded properly and could make F-15 Details anyday.

Zxcccxz, if you found a 20C with "great" obverse details at any price, you're welcome to call me anything you like.
