Mine is not even worth the time to dig it out and photo it (on second thought mine are 1807 1/2 pennies) I'm no good with the grading numbers but I'll give a shot at history and such.... now were is that 1982 Krause of mine...
King George III reigned from 1760-1820, he was the one with the bad eyesight according to John Hancock. Crazy old King George talked to trees and had some major problems:
Quote:
A letter received by novelist E. M. Frostier from his aunt, Marine Thornton, describes the situation: "... there he was sitting on the Throne with his King's Crown on, his robes scarlet and ermine, and held his speech written out for him, just what he had to say. But, oh dear, he strode up and made a bow and began "My Lords and Peacocks'. The people who were not fond of him laughed, the people who did love him cried, and he went back to be no longer a king, and his eldest son reigned in his stead".

I'm not going to post outside sites for this, look up George III if you want to read more about Mad King George.
The coin you have is showing in my old Krause as a 1/2 penny only minted in 1799, there are several different varieties, there are no mintage numbers. Prices are listed from $3-$65, but that is from my 1982 edition, before they split the centuries into different books. I am not seeing a full penny minted in 1799, but that is Krause for you, it seems like the diameter of the half penny and the penny are almost the same, 30mm for the 1/2 and 32-33mm on the penny size, again my reference is old and Krause is notorious, almost as bad as
ebay at times.
Hope this helps, the coin is in great shape definitely a keeper
