Before joining I had never heard of a 7070 type album. They look really neat and I decided to buy one and start a type set collection. I am finding that Dansco must no longer make these. The only one I find is on ebay and they are asking $128.00 - and no actual coins are included.

I read bad things here and elsewhere regarding the Intercept Shield version. Does anyone have a recommendation for another vendor?

Try Amazon, I found there were used ones available.

A word of advice though is to read the whole description under "Condition" since some I saw listed had minor issues.

or if you don't like doing the links just go to Amazon.com and type in "Dansco 7070" and click on used.

Hope this is of some help to you.

You'll be *very* lucky to find one at a reasonable price - being out of production, they're getting pricey.

I would go back and buy every single one they had at that price. At this point its really just dumb luck being able to find one at a coin shop. I've still never seen one sitting on the shelf in a shop

I found one at a shop last week and it was like spotting a unicorn. I bought one and may go back this week and buy out whatever he has.

You have to ask. At my shop, collectors or families bring them in and they are thrown in a pile in the back. He had 3 available. I bought the good one. Another had a torn page and the 3rd had writing in it.

I have no idea what's up with Dansco. They need to get off their rear-ends and finally start making it again. I mean, how hard can it be to update a few pages and get on with it? If I knew the industry a little better, I would just start my own company and compete against them.

I do not think I will get one because I cannot see the point of paying $100+ for an album of all things. If this keeps up, The album will be worth more than the coins at some point!

This would be difficult to see that with the 7070. However, I have learned to never say never!

It would take some time. but it may get up there (I am not including the gold page. With it, I think saying "never" might be OK)
