I have never purchased anything via the Collectors Corner website, but it looks like a great place to find pretty much anything with multiple dealers selling through the site. I assume that some of you have purchased from there. Do you have any thoughts good or bad?
Thanks!

Most everybody who sells there are highly reputable dealers known to me. Never bought a coin I first found there, but I'm on that site all the time and have dealt with a couple who sell there.

The parent company of Collectors Corner is Collectors Universe. They also own PCGS and PSA (Sports Cards). I think of it as just another outlet for dealers to advertise their goods. It has a pretty good search engine which includes current auctions (mostly at Heritage) along with a very large database of dealers. Bottom line is that it's a very safe place to look for coins with a pretty good search engine. I'd suggest using their advanced search where you can drill down to all kinds of options

And keep in mind that in many cases, Collectors Corner prices are sort of a "Special" from the dealer. Special, that is, to the dealer. If you find something you like, check it at the dealer's website as well.

Also note that some dealers indicate which pieces they are bringing to a major show... so if you want to see it in-hand, you know to visit them...

As Superdave implied, don't go there looking for a bargain and the uniformity of pricing amongst dealers, all well north of Numismedia usually is disconcerting. But then again these are mostly high end dealers who all think their coins are great for the grade and thus worth more than what any pricing guide might say.
Try greatcoins.com. Rick Snow places a lot of his less expensive items there, as do some other dealers.

Definitely looks like some great stuff can be found there. I'll take your advice and check the coins out at the individual dealer sites as well. I am looking for a couple pieces for my type set, so it is good to have all these choices for finding the perfect (for me) coin!

Never tried it. Normally only use coin shows to buy stuff. Might go there just to see what is what though.

Thundercoin,
Not sure of your budget for your type set but I know of a couple of dealers that advertise on the Collectors Corner website that usually have a great mix of coins that are good candidates for type sets and prices that are frequently very good. I'd recommend going directly their sites as they are easier to navigate. One is Gary Adkins and the other is Type Coin Company. Both places are willing to negotiate on pricing many times as well. I don't have any relationship with either so they're just getting a free plug here. I mention them because I frequented both a fair amount when I put together a type set about a year ago.

Also, TypeCoins.com - Dr. Bruder is a retired dentist and now frequents the coin show circuit (20+ shows a year).

I have purchased coins located via Collectors Corner. I will also add that based on personal experience, both Gary Adkins and Dr. Bruder are good people to deal with.
