I have a Lincoln Penny and on the reverse there is a slanted I in united it slants to the right on top and almost is connected to the n on the bottom.

It would help if you posted a picture to be sure, but it sounds like something we call post mint damage ( PMD). It is not an error.

Does sound like it was hit with something. It would really be difficult for that to have happened at the Mint.

It does sound like PMD but we'd need pics to be sure.

I've tried taking a picture with webcam..but too blurry ..its definitely not a PMD,

to CCF fellow Michigander. If you have a camera,set it to micro (the little flower icon) or if you have a phone camera try that. Any pic might help us help you. As of now,it sounds like PMD.
