This is a double post, sort of, this picture being posted here to show off the Commonwealth hammered coin (any ideas what denomination?)

Bought on ebay, the whole lot for £8.60, which I feel is a bit more than its worth. Any thoughts on the coin?

It's a halfgroat, at a guess; if so, there should be "breeches" shields on the other side, with a "II" above the shields.

It's been bent there and back again, as well as perhaps a tear at 3 to 4 o'clock. I have one that's been holed, and the hole loop torn away - which was presumably how it was lost.

I hadnt put much thought into the waves. Perhaps it came out of the ground as a love token?

Im going to look up the types and try and learn how to differentiate them before it gets here.
