Ben Pillar of the Community United Kingdom 4208 Posts	Posted 01/13/2014 3:55 pm This is a double post, sort of, this picture being posted here to show off the Commonwealth hammered coin (any ideas what denomination?) Bought on ebay, the whole lot for £8.60, which I feel is a bit more than its worth. Any thoughts on the coin? Report this Post to the Staff

Sap Moderator Australia 16852 Posts	Posted 01/13/2014 5:49 pm It's a halfgroat, at a guess; if so, there should be "breeches" shields on the other side, with a "II" above the shields. It's been bent there and back again, as well as perhaps a tear at 3 to 4 o'clock. I have one that's been holed, and the hole loop torn away - which was presumably how it was lost. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis Report this Post to the Staff
