I can't pin this one down. No legend, but if I can put a name to her, she may do for my school project.

Me too, but I can't find a match with that hairstyle. It doesn't help that it is so mangled!

Nope, not a Julia, its Fausta. Late roman. Reverse is SPES REIPVBLICA (hope of the Republic (or for)). It shows Fausta holding two infants, the infants being Constantine II and Constantius II - This is a mini family picture, the wife and children of Constantine I. Something like this one:

Looks like there might be a 'bun' on the hair. But the face looks too young ! Almost childlike.
I think it is safe to call it a "Julia". Which one is anther question ..... I think I am more inclined toward Soaemias or Maesa but your guess is as good as mine.

Soaemais always seems to be diademed, and Maesa seems too old. I like Ben['s Fausta, don't have one of her.

Thats not mine...its to illustrate that your coin is Fausta. Its even got some of the name surviving, just to the top right of the bust reads FAVS.
The mints designs vary wildly...this looks like a western mint and if you cycle through wildwinds you might pin it down.

Ben's answer is the best by far. It also explains away the strange 'childlike' appearance.

When I was looking, I never even considered Fausta, so it is a nice surprise.
