I know this is a DDO - but can't find any information on this.

Now where do I go to get grading and everything else I need to know about what I have. Still learning!

Thank you,
Beckie

Hi just4fun

How upset would you be if I told you your coin is not a Doubled Die ?

But is the product of a worn die and very common on the Lincoln cents especially the plated lincolns .

There will be others along to give their opinions ,,but My opinion is stated above.

Sorry beckie!

There is a good tutorial in the 'Cherrypicker's Guide' that you can find down at your local bookstore. Wouldn't hurt to grab a coffee, sit down and read the capture before putting it back on the shelf.

The key is that the 'doubled' area needs some characteristics of it's own. Look for an actual 'ridge' in the numbers where the doubling occurs. Yours is flat and shelflike.

What finally clued me in was to see a real one and how it looks under the magnifying glass.
