I know I have read somewhere when the mint stopped individually punching mm into the dies but I can't find it anymore. Anyone want to help me out with the year this happened. Thanks

They were hand punched until 1985 .

1989, final year the MM were "hand punched". Since that time, all are on the working die.

LivingDinosaur and I are both right , the hand operation for the proof dies ended in 1985,, and for the circulation coins in 1990 and 1991.

Thanks for jogging the info loose in my failing memory LD.
