Jbuck, I also forgot to let you know that I'm a die hard Red Wings fan! Unfortunately in the Eastern Conf. this year and hope we get to play a best of 7 this year!
My grandfather was raised in Detroit, so I will not hold it against you.

I was upset with the move at first, until I realized, as you pointed out, they could now end up in the Final.

There, fixed that for you.

Sorry for the thread derailment. Carry on.

For a small fee some banks will do a currency conversion, but you may have too little to have them act. Unless the coins are interesting, such as commemoratives, dealers will have little need for them. And, if you do go the ebay route, be prepared for the fees, and wait for free listings. Seller fees and Paypal fees, along with postage if you have to offer free shipping can actually cause a loss.

My issue is that I'd rather have the money in american and there isn't anywhere near to exchange it.

Even if there was someplace to exchange it (and many banks will do foreign exchange) you would find that they don't exchange coins. The reason is that usually the banks have to ship the foreign currency "back home" to get reimbursed and shipping the coins is a losing proposition due to the value/weight ratio. So they would only take the 5 Euro note, worth about $8, and you would get maybe $6 for it.

I know I checked all the places around and figured ebay would be good, or maybe once my posts are high enough try on here. I don't have them on me, they're back home while I'm at school so clearly no hurry.

When I came back from europe, the young version of me thought I'd need 20+ in euros.
