Wonder if anyone got in trouble for making a nose that big!

Let's face it guys, no real person has a nose that pointed. It almost looks like something out of a cartoon.

"The nose knows when everything goes" I believe that's the old expression. I would mind having that coin just because of that nose.

Rather like the nose used in the "Air Nippon" ads that has caused some controversy with Japanese actors "dressing up as westerners" with pointy noses.

By the way, in case you were not aware, that ebay seller from which the original post refers to, is on "FORVM's NOTORIOUS FAKE SELLERS LIST".

My thoughts exactly -- Roman portraiture was usually pretty good on the coins of that time period. While the nose is quite humourous, it should also be a giveaway that the coin is not all that the seller is trying to make it out to be...

An addendum to that coin sold by that ebay seller on Forum's NFSL.

A lot of buyers who are "dipping their toes" into the world of ancient coins and choose to buy on ebay think that a large Feedback number = Great, Genuine Seller.

However looking at that seller's Feedback for "as a Buyer" you will find that they use the same account for purchases.

So at least half of that "large Feedback number" is from them paying promptly as a Buyer, with nothing to do with their quality as a Seller.

This is the drawback of ebay as it reckons by Feedback number without considering this loophole.
