I think I'd go with a mid-grade 1872 Indian Head cent. You can get a nice one for that sum. |

Great answers! I like the idea of upgrading the 20 cent piece in my 7070. My 3 cent piece is really weak too. Sadly, I do not have a spare $500 hanging around, but it was a fun thought!

I'd get one coin that I like and fit in my collection. Always collect what you like. I'd look for a coin that you know is worth $575 or $600 and see if you can bargain it down to the $500. Would be a coin you love and a great deal.

I've always wanted one each of the 1900 Barbers in a MS grade, minimal distractions and not toned. Think $500.00 would get them?

Perhaps the dime and nickel.
Or one of them plus the quarter.
But a half?
Maybe a thousand would do it.
1900 is an easy year and MS examples are plentiful.
High mintages.
1892 is a good year since may were saved.
Go for the strikes and do not worry about a little toning.
Distractions? Keep them away from the face and you won't go wrong. Good luck, even if it is just a dream.

Considering my purchase over the weekend, I'd try to find a higher grade 1787 Fugio. Otherwise I would get an 1861-O SLH, preferrably one with a certain die break above Liberty's head.

1945 Mercury dime with FSB's. The $500 is what I'd offer but possibly get laughed at. |

I would go for the highest grade 2 cent piece that I could get. Preferably something red......(like this dancing strawberry)  |

It's a tough one, but in terms of US coins, I'd probably spend it on getting some coins for my 7070 (which coins depend on what is available). If country wasn't a factor, I'd go with a KEVII Sovereign for my Sovereign type set. |

That's a tough choice, really. I would probably shoot for getting some key dates that I need, like a 1914-D and 1931-S LWC. And if I had anything left over, I'd pick up a couple LWC upgrades. |

Cameo Proof Franklin maybe a 1954 or 53. OGH if I could find one. I found a 56 that was PF68Cam in an OGH at the FUN show last month. Got it for a great price but would like a couple earlier than that.

I'd start looking for a Vermont copper, one of the more common varieties, looking for a well centered and on a smooth non ground recovery planchet. Full legends and hopefully a date well struck, in Fine to low VF. ••• About six years ago I'd be looking for a Gold dollar, PCGS or ngc slabbed in AU, a date I needed for the series date mm set
