No date no words, similar to some Mex $, but this doesn't show in any foreign catalog I have. Any ideas?

How close are you to the border? It could be a Mexican Revolutionary piece of some kind. (or just an old token)

Well, San Diego. From where I found it to the border is probably 15 miles.
Any Mex coin folks out there?

My guess is that it is a store token.
Although it may have been found in the SD area and I think is most probably local, I don't think it has to be necessarily Mex in origin.
What are the circumstances of the find?
