Hi,

I know nearly nothing about ancient coins. I just received these as part of large coin lot and I was wondering if you can help with identifying any of them. I know they are in bad shape.

Number 1
Help-With-Identifying-These

If you can't tell, the reverse appears to be a horse's head. I did a little research and it looks similar to some Carthage coins that I saw.

Number 2

Number 3

There looks to be a B to the left of the head on the obverse.

Number 4

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for looking!

No.1 is from Carthage

No.2 is Gallienus.

No.3 is Magnentius or Decentius (no way of telling from that picture), the reverse is VICT DD NN AVG ET CAES

No.4 looks like Maxentius or Constantius Chlorus to me, but ill let others weigh in, Ill have a better look tomorrow if need be

#4 can't be Constantius I, as he was dead by the time Maxentius issued this type. Maxentius issued the CONSERV VRB SVAE with 3 different reverse spellings for himself, Maximian Herculius and Constantine I. I seem to be able to make out an X in the obverse legend, so Constantine I is out. I believe that I can make out a faint I after the X, if so it is Maximian. In hand it might be clearer though.

#4 looks like Maxentius. It looks like an E and an N.

I also think #4 is Maxentius.
