this coin is exactly the same as the bullion replica that was just released, has same reverse finish same price. The difference is it has the World Money Fair privy and has a mintage of 7500 instead of 20000. I would be upset if I bought the other coin last month, less then half the mintage same price and has a privy.....

Quote: If so, nothing special, from what I can tell... This is correct. But how special can be traditional Silver Maple Leaf? For this one, as I remember, the specialty in the anniversary of WMF, which transitioned into Privy mark. And as someone said, the price is low - $80 compares to usual $90-$100 for 1oz Silver RCM coin.

I'm glad I held off on the "replica". This mintage is far more desireable and it's likely that a decent sized portion of the mintage will stay in germany.

I'm assuming that a portion of the 7500 coins are being sold in Europe. Does anybody know if the Mint gives out information on the distribution breakdown? Just curious. While checking the Talisman Coins website today (btw, I don't like their way of doing business for the popular coins), they no longer sell the WMF-privy sml, but they did yesterday. What's up with that?

I assume, that the coin is "hot" these days, while the event continues.
The Gatewest has in stock (with limit of 1 per customer), the CA has in stock (with limit of 1 per customer), and CC&C according to website totally sold-out.
Does someone know, on the WMF, these coins (and the others) for sale for the public, or there are displays only?

I just checked JandM's website, on the homepage, it says they have 1500 available. Limit 2 per customer. That's 20 percent of mintage.

@ silveroid, I'm pretty sure they are for sale at the WMF. A guy from Germany in the other forum posted that he picked one up at the WMF

Got mine yesterday. Surprisingly all my orders although few have arrived quickly and without incident. Must be slow over there lol. This was the one coin I bought more the one of in a long time. But thats only because I'm a huge maple collector. Theres no wow factor to the coin because after all its the same silver maple weve been seeing since 1988 but with a satin finish ( which is my favorite ) and a different privy mark. The die was in great condition because the queens face is perfect, a lot of times you'll see a lot of clashes or marks / lines. Small complaint, the coa says replica, and 1 of my display case has the old RCM logo while the others have the new one. Not a big deal but I still think they should be consistent. I know theres a thread about this new logo already, but its not growing on me in the least. The logo on clamshell looks tacky for some reason. But over all I am satisfied with the quality of this coin.
