That is in fact a restrike. It is hard to see from the pics, but I doubt it to be a rare variety. Rather, it's a common, recent strike. So it is not worth much more than bullion. $15-$20 is probably what you'd be able to get for it.

The Austrian mint still sells new restrikes (proof quality) of the Maria Theresia Thaler. (They charge about €21). Early restrikes (18th century till mid 19th century) are less common and there are few rare varieties (such as the inverted mintmark F.S. instead of S.F.).
An overwhelming number of the about 300 million restrikes was minted outside Austria (UK, Italy, Belgium), until the licence to mint MTT's expired in or around 1960.
