The obverse is very uneven and 'cheesy' as you say and the reverse is nicely uniform. I am curious what would cause that. Simply lying face up when it fell to the ground all those years ago? Oh you must mean Hieronymas ...... he went to bed early and left me (FVRIVS) here to play "find the sestertii". No 'dutch' you are quite right about the coin. I am very happy with my 'green cheese' ! For the money it was a terrific buy and makes a nice pair with my other Claudius sestertius (also 35mm). No regrets at all. The patination is quite heavy and at first glance I did think that there were some scrapes in the field behind the head. They are actually the ribbons from his laurel ! Besides ......
