Hi, I am trying to identify this coin or token discovered in a garden in England. It is 33mm diameter and appears to be made of copper. Any help much appreciated.

It isn't actually a coin. It's a type of ritual token known as a "false shekel". The design is (very loosely) based on the silver coins issued by the ancient Jews during their First Revolt against Rome. If you do a forum search for "false shekel", you'll discover you are not alone in being puzzled by them. Here's a thread from 2012 with one similar to yours.

Thank you for the information - very interesting. I assumed it wasn't too old because of the shape and what appears to be a modern manufacturing process, but the lettering looked old. Not sure how it found it's way into the soil but at least I know what it is now. Your help is very much appreciated.
