So the pictures are about as bad as the coins, I keep saying I'll get around to working on a camera setup.

I had posted the hexagonal one a while back and I think someone said it was Spanish.

Back and front... or front and back

These two actually seem to have busts, I can try for better pictures after I get the camera worked on

Any ideas would be great, thanks in advance. Also I keep meaning to looking into the whole green gunk removal think. Is there a kitchen science experiment (vinegar, baking soda, ketchup, mustard, relish?) that I can have fun with or should I just get the commercial products?

I reckon they are, in fact, all spanish. The left one of the busts seems to have a frilled collar.

better pics... unfortunately it will take a ton of work to get my area in the basement in better order and half of the stuff needs to go out to storage. I'm not doing that until there is less then 6 inches of snow, so stay tuned... it'll be a while.

also the left coin in the busts 'close-up' seems to have a high collar and a small ruff, plus a little curly-Q cow-lick at the forehead/bangs area. It's got a heck of an off center strike too.

I'll try to get better pics but like I said that will not be easy, I have a camera stand idea but no space to set it up... I collect coins, Star Trek stuff, computer stuff, and tons of other JUNK too. I come from a long line of packrats, when my great-grand mother went into a rest home in the late 1970's my dad bought her place and inherited several buildings that were full of, well, Junk. after all this time most of it is still around but we're working on it.

Thanks for looking and trying to ID with these pics, any suggestions on cleaning, especially the first coin in the top row? I see that as the experiment coin, not much can make it worse

Top left is a perfect coin to try brushing. Very short cut bristles. My experiment coins, without fail, always turn into something special. I have a (seemingly) unique Julia Domna which was an experiment coin for a long time.

Dry Brushing or with water?

Also I have tried to look through the cleaning posts and I always get distracted, anyone have a link to the best thread here for cleaning?
