Would be nice to see a picture of the 1887 nickel as it is likely worth more than the quarter depending on grade. Nice finds either way, congrats! machine20 Pillar of the Community United States 1277 Posts	Posted 02/22/2014 12:20 pm It is a 1917-24 "Type 2" quarter. From 1925-30, the date was recessed so it didn't immediately wear away like so many from 17-24. As mentioned above, it is worth no more than scrap. Report this Post to the Staff
