Hi..take a look at this 1979 quarter...Maybe this is normal, but why is the word "Canada" so close to the edge..even the date on the other side is further away from the edge in comparison to the other quarter..?
For 1979 it's normal. The reverse was changed in 1978, with both types appearing in that year. CANADA far from the rim is the small denticles variety. CANADA close to the rim is the large denticles variety. Count the denticles of your coins,it's another difference.
