I have a batch of coins at NGC getting graded, They have been there since 16th of last month. The status changed on Thursday to "Grading/Quality Control". Just wondering how long they will linger at this stage before I can get the grade results

Quote: Be sure to post pics, when returned. I bet you have some beauts! Nothing super exceptional in this batch , just trying out NGC as I have used PCGS exclusively before

Been there since the 16th of January? That seems long to me, but at least you KNOW they are there.

Theyre both miserably slow with world submissions at the moment.
At least your status finally switched, should be a day or two once that happens unless theyre just trying to make it seem like theyre moving faster than they are.

I dropped off some world tokens and medals at the FUN show in person back on Jan 9th -- none were on an economy tier. I'm still waiting to get the last and 3rd invoice back; should be here by Friday.
Be patient! -- it's not like there's any rush to get stuff back, unless you're a dealer and wanting to flip it right away. In general, as long as my submissions are back in my hands within 2 months of submission, I don't worry too much.

Still no results. I have a submission in at PCGS that they received 2/4/14, 19 days after the NGC submission. It will be amusing if the PCGS coins are done before the NGC ones

Once the status flips to "Grading/Quality Control", I have never had to wait more than 2-3 business days before the coins were graded, and already in the mail. It may be even more amusing when your PCGS order is still waiting to be graded 1 month after you have your NGC coins back in hand.

I had a Gold 1729 Ducat sent in for grading at about the same time as these coins. The Ducat is on its way home already , these are run of the mill florins and a Crown so I can't see what the delay is about.

Did you send the Ducat on its own by any chance? Sometimes a single coin will get the express treatment since it doesn't take long to get it out of the way

Update. The grading fee has been taken from my cc account, Still NO grades yet tho. PCGS normally post my grades before they debit my account.
