I have to wonder if that is some sort of an ornament, either as jewelry or maybe even on woodwork of some sort, the back is rough and I'm wondering if the center hole is for a screw to put it on a cabinet maybe.

I know 4 leaf clovers are supposed to be the lucky ones but is the 3 leaf a luck symbol in India?
