I just ordered an aluminum storage box for 10 slabs on Amazon. Got it for $25, plus shipping. It got me wondering... What do you smaller collectors do to house a similar number of coins? Any particular hints if I ever need more storage space?

I store mine in simmilar box like you've ordered. But I'm thinking about buying album for certified coins, much easier to look at your coins. Here's the link to one from Wizard https://www.wizardcoinsupply.com/li...lipcase.html

PCGS/NGC boxes are much cheaper than 25 and hold 20 slabs.

I keep mine in an NGC 20-coin slab box. My LCD has given me slightly used ones in the past for free! Keep in mind that PCGS slabs will fit in NGC boxes but NGC will not fit in PCGS boxes.

If you want to view your coins more often, the I agree that the certified coin pages in albums are perfect!

PCGS/NGC boxes seem to be available fairly cheaply ($7-$8) and hold 20 slabs.

Singer,

I use a PCGS box and my NGC slabs fit fine.

The NGC slabs are a little lose in the PCGS boxes but they do fit and hold, they just wiggle a little.

Usually the lid on the PCGS boxes won't fit well if it has NGC slabs in it.

Yes, the diet has been working, thanks for noticing!

I sprung for a Lighthouse mahogany coin case for 25 certified coins as a gift for my husband. The slabs fit well and we have had no problems with it...other than having empty slots.

Show vendors frequently have slab boxes and other storage boxes for bargain prices and JP's has some economy cardboard boxes -- http://www.jpscorner.com/coin-holde...e-boxes.html

Do as I do. Cut the coins out of the slabs and place in Albums. One Album can hold a lot of coins and takes up much less room than slabs.

I keep mine in a PCGS box, can find them fairly cheap on E-Bay or at a coin show.
