Had the same thing happen with a coin from Hungary recently. Took a couple of months and I had already received my money back...I paid up no questions asked. Sadly I never heard from the seller. You know, "gee thanks" would have been nice hahaha...oh well.

I've had this happen twice to me. Both times going through the"BLACK HOLE" that is Hazelwood MO. Both were key dates of sets,Peace Dollars, and Buffalo nickels. I had already acquired replacement coins so I paid to send the coin back both times to avoid any kind of mess. I also never got a thanks.

You would think that when a seller gets paid after months, or gets the coin back, they'd be gracious about it. Frankly, they've already been paid on it and wouldn't KNOW that you eventually got it unless you tell them. Maybe that is their fear though. That if they acknowledge getting paid or a return they then will have to give back the $ they got already for it. Kinda sleazy on their part - if that is the motivation.
