I am not familiar with how they made these coins and is this middle bronze piece supposed to fit to the edge of the silver piece? This coin weighs 6.7g and is very interesting, obviously it is an error coin but could someone tell me what they call this error? Thanks for looking.

Since these bimetallic planchets were constructed before striking, sometimes the design overlaps onto the outer ring.

I guess both bronze colored planchets for both sides were cut to small? What kind of error would they call this? Incomplete planchet?

Bump...Does this type of error have a specific name that I could refer to? Clipped planchet maybe?
