I usually don't buy raw coins when I'm not familiar with the grading, but I just couldn't resist this one. I'm wondering if my grading will be the same as what you all think. So opinions are welcome.

NICE!!

Wonderful strike without any (noticeable from the pictures anyway) die cracks or strike imperfections!

I see just a bit of chatter in the obverse fields.

I'm going with MS-63.

If it is not MS it is a solid AU-55.
Nice surfaces. Excellent strike.
You should be happy with it for years to come.

I was hoping it was atleast ms63. The dealer had 1 graded ms64 and about 10 raw so I cherry picked this one. Moe145 there is a very slight die crack that runs from the E in united to the second T in states. Runs right along the tops of all the letters. My pictures dont even do this coin justice, it is almost prooflike. On the reverse, the dot in the middle of the V is actually a reflection of the phone.

Nice picture with a cell phone camera! I don't see any reason why it wouldn't grade a MS-63?

No hit's on the rims
Great hair detail
Stars are all well defined
No wear apparent in the picture and
looks to have lots of luster.
I'd say MS63 minimum.

The 1883 no cents is one of the "great deals"
out there because there are so many well struck,
well preserved examples available.

MS-62 to -64 area. Fantastic details for a coin that old. Sure wasn't in circulation or if so, not much.
You could always send it to me for a better look.
Then lost in mail.

MS-63 or -64
UNLESS
that light spot in the "V" is something not normal.

My initial impression here was MS-61 maybe higher. BEAUTIFUL coin, it would go in my set well. If you decide not to send it to just_carl for his grading services, you could consider me next.
