I've been planning on buying a metal detector for a while. I don't want to spend a lot of money on one but I want a decent one. In your opinion what's a good but cheap metal detector. I would like with a display that is easy to read and understand.

Hi Kenny

Both Whites and Garretts make good entry level machines for around 250.00 .

Both companies have websites where you can check out the machines and find local dealers in your area .

I've looked at some Whites before but I've never looked at a Garrett. Thanks for the recommendations

Also try c-scope. They make good machines.
