This coin may be the first in a new classification of extreme rarity---a coin so rare that it never even existed in the first place...

To answer the question I think you're asking: yes, they are modern "fantasy dollars" from China. We've seen them quite a few times on the forum before over the years. Really really old thread.. Old thread. Recent thread.

They ae often found with other crude fakes from China that started appearing around 2000 but this design is actually much older. I first ran into a report of one of these from the Lebanon (Middle east) area back in 1989.
