I contacted coolserialnumbers.com and was told this:
A12344321B is a radar
A12344321A is a perfect radar.i used the word true instead of perfect.
Bill Collector:sorry I ruffled your feathers,i did not indent to do that to a pro like you.
Cmcart: Nice radar note find.Where do you get your notes from? You find a lot of nice ones.

John1,
It's nice that you think I'm a pro, let me be the first to tell you I'm not. I may have learned something after 50 + years of collecting, and have some expertise in certain areas of collecting but I don't collect currency numbers, I just collect US currency. Once in awhile I may sell some but I'm not a dealer and I don't make a living at it.

But after collecting for many, many years I've learned a lot about the different areas of collecting and collectors.

And I think I know a radar note when I see it. But I could be wrong.

Now please enlighten all of us as to why you dropped the I in your example of the Cmcart note. Have you ever seen two letters at the end of any newer note of any denomination ?.

John,
I'm always trying to learn something new so please explain.

Please also let us know what the expert on currency numbers had to say about the newer notes, I've already said that it was possible on the older notes, and most knew what he would say, but what did he have to say about the new notes ?

The Bill Collector,
I contacted coolserialnumbers again and they said: What if it's one of the new notes that have two letters at the beginning?LI05588550A.Thanks, their answer: Terminology hasn't been settled for those. This is the last post for me on this subject and I will be staying away from the currency section for awhile,it's too chilly for me

Thanks for the answer John, I guess we will have to still call it a radar till the "experts" come up with better Terminology. It's hard to believe that we have had numbers with three letters in them since 1996, that's pushing 20 years now. Wonder how much longer it will take for the experts to figure out what to call them.

By now you should have learned that it's just not possible to have a "perfect" radar note with the new three letter numbers.

John,
I'm always happy to help out a new guy with things they don't understand about Currency. No need to thank me, just be happy that you learned something.
