First Box Of Dimes, First Roll! - Coin Community Forum

JoshHellcat Valued Member United States 139 Posts	Posted 04/03/2014 12:48 pm I decided to give dimes a chance. So, I stopped by the branch on my way to work and picked up a box. Got to work a little early so I cracked it open to do some edge searching. I saw silver in the very first roll! a 1945 Merc! First silver dime I've found! Too bad none of the other had any silver edges showing. Ill still sort through them tomorrow and see what else I can find! Report this Post to the Staff

On my various visits to the States the only silver coin I've ever been given in change was a 1960 dime, at Macy's store in New York City just before Christmas 2004! (I also got four 40% silver JFKs amongst $17 in halves I got from a bank once, in Richmond, VA).
