Hi,

I wonder if anyone could help. I think this is a crusader coin... but I cant really get any further in my identification! I'd appreciate any help or advice.

Do you have better picture?
I seem to recognize a crown
right side under the crown looks like hair.
Is it possible the left under the crown is damaged?
If you have better picture it should be possible to search for the inscriptions
Seems templar cross, mediƫval writing

Aaah yes I see the crown now! I had been seeing an M.

Unfortunately I don't have a chance to get better pictures for a bit, but I will post some as soon as I can (its a tricky coin to capture, the more so as all I had to hand was my phone camera).

Hmm, I'm struggling to get a decent image. This is about the best I can do, it seems...

Can you put the coin on a scanner and scan high resolution?
You may send me the scanned picture.
Sometimes more details are visible when you put a light, thin paper on the coin and rub it with a pencil.
What are the dimensions of the coin?

This site as a limit of 100K for pictures. You can send a bigger file by mail.
Your coin intrigues me so much that I will try to find an identification!
You'll find my email if you click my name

I'm seeing the cross potent that starts the obverse legend between the left and middle points of the crown, followed by TRI. Tripoli? The last letters don't spell out TRIPOLIS, though; they seem to be GRA?
