If it's a poured Engelhard 50oz (not the more recent cast variety), that's an OK price. The 50's are a lot less common than the 100's and the poured 50's are
rare within the realm of the 50's. If it's one of the early Canadian pours with the "bull' or "horns" logo on it, I'd consider it to be a no-brainer "grab them both
and run" situation, but... I'm prejudiced because I have a bit of an Engelhard problem. I'm currently in 12-step outpatient treatment for my problem and
they're telling me the prognosis for my recovery is not good.
As for collectible value beyond silver value---IMO, definitely. Moderately so if they're poured and definitely more so if they're "bull" or "horns" logo pours. If and
when you go to resell, it may not be the quickest or easiest sale that ever was, but there are enough Engelhard aficionados that it should work out well for you.
You won't make a fortune flipping these, but you won't get hurt and IMO you should definitely do OK. Good luck with it.
