So I went to cash a check at the bank this morning (open till 1 on Sat). Went through the usual "do you have any half's", they said sure, someone brought $900 in today. I said great, I'll take a $100. Got to the car and they were all marked with a date on each roll. First thing I seen was a few 70's dates, then a 68. Look in the roll and sure enough, all were 1968s. Went back in and asked if I could look through what they had. Found 7 rolls of 40% halfs. Teller said the guy went to a coin shop and these were what he had left that weren't worth more than face value! Wrong on these 7!

All had individual dates on them and these were the only 60s. All were right on the money as far as the dates marked. Like an idiot though I didn't check for 70. That will be my prework Monday morning routine next week.

Awesome score.

Definitely go back and get all they have.

Even if they turn out to be clad spend them or deposit that at a different branch.

You're not out anything for taking a gamble on the rest.

I wonder what the coins that the "coin store" would take were.

SWEET! over $300 worth of silver just for asking a question. That is why I ask every time I am in a bank or credit union. You never know whom is going to drop off coins and the gems you might find.
