Will Dansco Start To Include "Slots" For Error Coins.

Im a relative newbie, one thing about coins that drove me nuts was either flips or flip albums. In stepped dansco albums. I love the them the coins being in order or being able to organize them myself. I keep my variety coins in little 2x2 plastic holders as inevitably I like to put them under the loupe or what not. I have yet to have a coin change and tone in any book I own. But they havent been in the books for decades like some peoples. IMO the albums are great not a fan of folders unless they are for pocket change. I have 13 albums so far. I am going to do a dansco custom for varieties where I will eventually put all of my discoveries. One thing for sure the coins have to be placed with care into the books they can be in to far or not far enough and the slides will rub on them.

Nothing else to say. I dont remember much about them, just that they did not satisfy my needs for storing my coins. They did not have the traditional slots that you normally see in Dansco albums, but a plastic page much like the ones used to store 2x2 flips, if I remember correctly.

My Father got a Washington-Carver HALF for me, back when I was young.

He paid the bank teller $.60 for it. Remember that all so well. Have no idea why the bank charged a 10 cent premium. A half was huge money and a dime would buy a show ticket.

STILL GOT IT.

I will always have it ... It is the last coin I will ever part with ... Come heck or high water.

Sadly, until after I came to CCF ... I had no idea how to treat coins with the respect they deserve. Oh well ... better late than never.

I can only wish I would have stated collecting coins sooner.

If I would have started collecting ikes (back when I was a merchant -- with a little better financial condition) The fed would be calling me to send them a ton or 2 of Ikes. hehe.
