Hi guys...Take a look at this 1977 dollar, maybe it is normal, but the water lines are very short..If it is normal, that would explain it..Thanks.

pennyman007...The right side of your coins water lines are longer than mine, do you have a picture of the left side..?

The die-polishing caused short water lines at the bow of the canoe be found on Business Strike, Proof-like, and Specimen finish 1977 dollars (all are documented in Charltons 67th). Not so common are the short water lines at the stern (not found in the 67th). The full watr lines are more common.

Yep. You get find short, medium, and full water lines at the front of the canoe, and you can find short and long at the rear, Various combinations of short/medium are out there, and you can then find them with attached/not attached jewels on the obverse. While most are readily found, as pginrh says there are some that are scarcer than others. Who knows? Keep your eyes open and you might find them all.
