Hi all. Here is one of the tets I picked up yesterday.
What's the best site to visit for all the relevant info on these? Silver content, dates etc.

28 mm, 11.75 grams.

Thank you Nathan! I don't suppose you have a good reference site for these do you? I have 33 to i.d. Some appear to have a lot more silver content & some not so much. I could use a good read up!

I am sure wildwinds covers these fairly well. I would try that. You can find the links in the stick thread.
These coins are nice and usually retail for about 100 Gbp a piece in such condition. Wow you might have scored something fierce.

Heres the site I use for the Alexandrian issues.

I intend to get one of the larger tetradrachms some time, but they are very expensive. How about a picture of the lot?

A bit of cleaning needed but got someone else doing that for me now :)
Here is the lot, along with a few single pics, not great but sifting through other bits at the same time.

What I will do eventually is, once cleaned, post them one at a time.

Unfortunately not, I purchased quite a large 'collection' from someone yesterday. Going to slightly clean the ones that need it and post individually to make sure I get the id right. I have a few marked for my own collection but the rest I will sell on to fund another buy.

Wow Kev, that's an excellent group of coins. Those Antioch tets are super. I've been wanting some for my collection but they tend to be a bit expensive. IMO it's rare to find a Fibula that is complete and not missing pieces. That's a super piece. I can't recall the name of the pins but those are the first I've seen. Were this all from a UK find?

Hi Ron, when I was out buying yesterday, as well as the coin collection, the guy had the brooches and I liked them so had them as well as 2 hair pins that I really liked.
I do find brooches but for one reason or another they never seem to have the same tone as these, different ground conditions maybe.
I am posting the tets one at a time to make sure I get the correct id on them all, not my strongest point id lol.
