It's a jeton, I presume. Can't quite read the writing enough to confirm.

French, of course, by the shield (and the cross) with fleurs-de-lys; 15th century. Obverse legend reads VIVE LE ROI ET LE DOFIN (dauphin) and the reverse AVE MARI STELLA DEI MATE.
