Interesting thread - just discovered it! 1825 Bavarian 1-kreuzer of Maximilian I Joseph - a tiny thin coin, much smaller than a dime!

I almost forgot that while I mostly collect medieval and early modern coins, I dipped my toe into German notgeld because I liked the way some of the designs echoed medieval ones by featuring the local paton saint. So here is a 10 pfennig notgeld from the city of Bingen (I thought I have a coin from a city starting with A but can't find photos for now),

Nice coins guys. I have not dipped into notgeld at all, even though my Germany coins are my largest collection, approaching 2000 coins, not one notgeld.

I have about 1000 Notgeld notes but only about 5 or 6 coins. One of them is this 10,000 Mark from Westfalen (Freiherr vom Stein) 1923 - the same series of the coin NumisRob posted above

Nice group!
I know those low denomination Empire coins are mostly "a dime a dozen" but that 1906 10 pfennig is pretty sweet.
