Can someone more experienced then I please point out where the below coin has been cleaned? As always, thanks for the continuing education.

It has most likely had an old cleaning that has retoned.

the mirror, especially to the left of the relief on the obverse, shows clean indication of having been wiped by something, most likely an old rag and water but overdone. I also see distinct hairlines on the reverse coming out of D(IM)E as well as a good amount of hairlines overall on the reverse, again, giving away that an abrasive rag of some sort was used to wipe away at the coin. Due to the thinner outer layer of silver sulfide not being dipped away as happens with cleaners, there was enough presence to allow for, as pointed out, a re-toning. However the hairlines remain as does the presence of the harder scrub on the obverse mirror.

Hence, a cleaned coin.

All IMHO and would suggest waiting for others to chime in before anything is taken to the bank.
Rest in Peace

@ Dsfreeworld, your definition on cleaning on the 1892-O is one of the best if not "the" best I have read on CCF.
Your descriptions of why cleaned helped me if not all CCF members to learn. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Jhp2104, nice coin with great eye appeal.

Dsfreeworld - Thank you for such a detailed answer. I greatly appreciate it.

While I really like the coin, it is now in a PCGS details holder (which I don't like). Prior to its grading it was in a safe for the last 30 years. Guess it will be going back in for another 30 years for the toning to continue and at that point 1) hopefully I will still be here, and 2) I'll give it another shot at a TPG.

on second look those could be die cracks coming out of D(IM)E but I do still see hairlines evident on the reverse

thank you for saying what you did but I am not sure how accurate I am so do not hold a tall candle to it.
