After TIF's stunner, back to the mundane :)

This was just a black blob, definitely silver coating, bronze showing through, so fouree then.

I can't get a handle on the emperor. Appears to be Victory reverse, any suggestions?

Thanks chris, I think I will put it down as unidentified - possibly caracella. It is too mangled! But it was a nice surprise to find it.

I don't think it's a fouree, I believe it's a silvered antonininus. It's a long shot but I think it might be Claudius II with the reverse of VICTORIA AVE.

Well, the reverse has a lot of legend left and looks to me like the desirable VICTORIAE BRIT reverse.

Caracalla did issue this legend, and the obverse legend supports it being him, but Ihavent found the exact issue. Take note of the IVS above the head and the spacings on the reverse.

EDIT: I suspected this was Septimius Severus, but discounted it because there isn't a beard visible, butr I think it is him:
