For those of you who doubted here it is Superman gold coin under issue!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/SUPERMAN-MA...em1c3fcff49b

Seller is from the UK. I have to be honest it looks rather well done obviously not as detailed but it's $20. At least he's not trying to trick anyone into thinking it's the real deal. It's 31 grams so it's big

Just thought I'd share it with you guys. I'm not trying to get anyone worked up over fakes because it's clear we are all oppose to the idea of fake coins.

40mm diameter vs 27mm for a real one. Still, I am sure some coin collecting newbies will get fooled down the road by these.

Mixed feelings here for me:

This shows, that original gold coin it just RCM NCLT with Superman picture sticked to it. It's price has a lower limit as metal content and go up to the money that the buyer will ready to pay. And it has almost nothing to "real" Superman, again, just colored coin with Superman image.

So, do you have the fake here? I doubt in this. The crime here to put Canadian denomination of C$75. Without the denomination it just gold plated round with the Superman.

And from other side, this round does not reduce the value of original one. As I said, every one is free to get (and pay for) any of different items.

Putting Superman's image is also a crime.

That true, I missed it.

But will be fine if Superman picture will be personalized - the "Guy who looks like Superman and dressed like the Superman"

Got to see coin in hand, if a good counterfeit could create havoc for the value of the real gold piece, basically the only hot coin last year.

I hate these coins, what's to stop jerks from buying coins like these and scamming people later on?

Did you see his other "coins" for sale?
Same thing.

Yes, these fakes.
But do not judge too fast the buyers of this stuff - they might be looking for affordable version of desired item.

I have no idea why I didn't check his other listings. I noticed the gold was 31 grams and a larger diameter so It didn't occur to me that it would be an issue. But those other superman coins are way too similar to the real silver ones.

Hmmm... was afraid this might happen, as the Superman images are easy to replicate.

I wonder if these "fake-types" will affect the market price of the real Superman coins?!?
