Hi guys..Take a look at these two 1868-1992 quarters...The one on the right looks like a week strike..Is that what caused it..?..Thanks

The rest of the coin both sides are quite good...Must be just a weak strike in that section.

PMD or struck-thru

It looks bare compared to this one. Filled die or light strike I dont think its all PMD.

Indication of weak strike is usually coincidental with the first points of wear, the highest areas of the coin, or where relief is high on both sides of the coin. The hair towards the brow looks fine. How's the point at the back of the neck. I still think it's filled die (struck thru) or PMD.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Probably is filled die its not all PMD, the first pic I posted with the circle shows no detail and no damage within the circle.
