 I'm not done looking at that box of pennies yet. I just finished separating and tallying the major varieties post-2000. Please note that I'm working with a very limited sample size, do not take this as conclusion. I'll work out the percentages of each variety next. Unfortunately no non-magnetics when they were supposed to be magnetic and vice-versa. Is there anything out of the ordinary about my figures? Thanks for looking, I know the table looks intimidating

I knew there were no circ magnetic 2010...couple years ago just by going through rolls, I spent a good 4or 5 months having fun at it..  .I like yu table nice...I stopped in feb when the penny went bye bye,,I had spent enough hours at it said yah bye...I hav lots wrapped and some loose in a penny box for storage..some stacks in order by year, all canadian. I'm hoping there's a mint set escapee  Thanks! I think I'll be updating this table as I go along. And guess what, I got 2 penny rolls from the bank today! I'll go again tomorrow and see if they get more in.  |

Maybe I will try my bank now as well...I asked in Mar,Apr,May after ending in Feb....Bank said no way at all they are not allowed to sell any only deposite or redeem..Ilegal to sell yu any penny.they said back then...

They never said it was illegal to sell me pennies. They just usually don't have any. Which part of Canada are you in? I have no problem asking from banks in Mississauga.

SK..  The Prairies,,I meant Feb12 was that last month year for penny...,,supposed to send them to gov melter I thought, now that its been a year or 2, I guess banks forget about it..  Edited by persistnt

That's actually quite some time ago. I guess they don't care too much anymore. Or thet just din't want to spend shipping them out. Who knows? no mint set escapee yet. All of them are Liz's portrait ones. At least I found one MG portrait, that isn't too common of a portrait anymore now Edit: No pennies in today, I'll try again another day. Edited by Altaira
