Okay, this is just great. I really despise this if it is what I think it is. What is ebay thinking? This is really going to mess me up.

They are nudging everyone towards a store opening so they can bolster their fixed revenue. Looks like you have to use their free listings in an auction format instead of BIN. List at auction with opening bid at least acceptable amount. They already pulled a fast one on the blow up pics depending on which format you list under. I'm sure they will try other methods in the future. nlp

SELLERS: UPDATES TO FEES IN SELECT CATEGORIES COULD MEAN MORE FREE LISTINGS* FOR YOU!

It's so cute how they always try to spin something like this (a change in which there is absolutely no net gain for the ebay user) into something positive.

Should read:

SELLERS: UPDATES TO FEES IN SELECT CATEGORIES MEANS YOU WILL BE PAYING MORE AND COULD MEAN LARGER BONUSES FOR OUR EXECUTIVES!

I thought the waived insertion fees were pretty cool when they came out, but that was a very recent thing on its' own. No offense, but it's hard to imagine complaining about their departure - I've paid insertion fees for most of my 15 years on ebay.

Yeah, but sadly, if they want things listed, they had better not make us pay insertion fees. I am glad to have the extra auctions, but I personally sell a lot more buy it now and best offers than I do auctions. It is like what has been mentioned above. They just want to make extra money.

Okay, Outdoor sports and ebay motors are not listed in those categories, so if I am reading this right, I can still use the fixed price listings free in them right?

They are a business, you know - not that I agree with the changes.

Haven't they heard of the invisible hand? Let sellers do what they need to to maximize their profit and take the 10%. Simplicity is a better move at this point, in my opinion, not more rules, exclusions, exceptions etc.
